The Lower School instructional environment has been created where an interdisciplinary, hands-on, active learning approach is used to insure that students will be successful and motivated to learn. The language arts curriculum is a literature/phonics based program that places a strong emphasis on the writing process, literature appreciation, verbal communication, grammar, and spelling. Math and science are taught through a hands-on, multi-sensory approach utilizing manipulatives. The social studies program helps students view themselves as an integral part of God’s world through the study of history, geography, and cultural awareness. Computer education is designed to be integrated with classroom studies, so students use the computer as a tool to develop projects.
